Quick Start

In this guide you will:

1. Create an Gatana Cloud account
2. Create a FaaS Tool Server
3. Connect Claude Code

1. Create Gatana Cloud account

1. Go to https://hello.gatana.ai/signup
2. Create your organization

2. Create a FaaS Tool Server

1. In the Gatana web app, navigate to Tool Server, click on Add Server
2. Select Runnable Code and accept the default values
3. Go to the source code, and replace index.js content with:

        description: 'returns static text',
    },
};
export function test() {
    return "Hello from Gatana!"
}

4. Click on Deploy
5. Wait until the server has been deploy, then go to the Tools tab
6. Click on Refresh

You should see the test tool listed.

3. Connect Claude Code

Run:

claude mcp add --transport http gatana https://gatana.ai/mcp
claude mcp login gatana

After, you may start claude and test the connection:

❯ run the gatana test tool

  Called Gatana 1 time

I ran the Gatana tool test.test(). It worked and returned this text:

▎ Hello from Gatana!

There were no errors. The connection to Gatana works.
